Sridevi is finally ready to make that much-awaited comeback. Her dance performance at the 52nd Fair One Filmfare awards, hinted at it. And now it has confirmed that she’ll be back soon.
Post-marriage, two lovely daughters and a life of bliss as Mrs Boney Kapoor, Sridevi’s dance performance has finally clinched the matter about her return. Two huge production houses have already designed projects highlighting Sri’s star power. Husband Boney Kapoor is also planning a very hush-hush project, a sort of Taj Mahal for his Mumtaz Mahal.
“Yes, I am certainly planning something with Sridevi,” laughs Boney. “But her comeback requires a lot of care. At this stage she can’t do a film just for the heck of it,” he says.
Still as shy as she used to be in the 1980s, Sridevi says she thoroughly enjoyed getting back in front of the camera.”I’ve danced many times on stage before, for awards functions and otherwise. But this time it was very different,” she says.
“I’ll do another film only if it gives me enough incentive to leave my home and family in the care of domestic help. In fact, one reason why I agreed to dance at the 52nd Fair One Filmfare awards was because the rehearsals were held at home. So, I could keep an eye on my kids, the kitchen etc.”
