When it comes to entertaining people, one can trust Shah Rukh Khan to come up with inimitable antics. However, recently while performing an impromptu act, the actor managed to break a bottle of wine on his head. Luckily he did not sustain any serious injuries.
At a recent show-shine do, he not only embraced the cause of a bank that he endorses, but also volunteered to enact a Devdas sequence on popular demand. His props included two wine bottles and another gentleman for a partner. In no time the animated duo put their histrionic skills on display. However, the audiences were in for a shock when SRK broke a bottle of wine on his head.
An overwhelmed eyewitness says, “It felt like watching Shah Rukh performing a live stunt. Who had imagined that he would break the glass bottle on his head while playing around with it? Although there were no visible injuries we were definitely concerned about him.”
The act didn’t close so soon. Following SRK, another visibly high-spirited gentleman walked up to the podium and started imitating him. Needless to say that wine bottles were called for again. The gentleman smashed a bottle on his forehead, which led to profuse bleeding.
When quizzed about the freak incident the actor brushed it off with a casual, “It was nothing serious.” Did the broken bottle leave him with a swollen head? “No, I’m not hurt at all,” insisted toughie Khan.
