Controversies never seem to let go of Bollywood siren Mallika Sherawat.
The bombshell, who recently hit the headlines for charging a bomb for nearly an hour-long performance on New Year’s eve at a Mumbai hotel, has now an obscenity case slapped against her.
A social worker has written to the Mumbai police seeking action against Sherawat for wearing ‘obscene clothes’.
Activist Vinod Jain was quoted by news agencies as saying that he saw Sherawat’s performance on certain television channels and was offended.
“The actress was wearing obscene clothes and dancing in a manner that was very offensive to our culture and women,” Jain was quoted as saying.
Sherawat wore a skin-suit for her 45-minute performance at Hotel J W
Marriott’s extravaganza and people had coughed up between Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,000 for a dekko.
Jain approached the Santa Cruz police station to take up the matter since the hotel lies within its jurisdiction.
