Konkona Sen Sharma
Recently, the makers of “Wake up Sid” (Dharma Productions) called upon Koko, Konkona Sen Sharma to tell her politely that she wasn’t looking “her best” (read “fat”). They requested for a reshoot of certain portions, and were willing to manage with the extra costs that would have to go into it. But Koko isn’t someone to take such insult, and said ; “This is what I am and this is what you shall get!”
Director Ayaan Mukherjee, then had no option but to continue with shooting schedule. The story is about a girl who is a perfect contrast to the male lead. They have signed up Ranbir Kapoor for the lead, and signed Konkona as they wanted an ordinary looking girl. Then why the big deal about her weight? Audience too likes her just the way she is!
