Ileana makes waves in Telugu film industry10 comments

A new actress in the Telugu film industry is making heads turn.

Ileana is no more than two films old but is currently the highest paid actress in this vibrant industry. She is the pretty face with an hour-glass figure and oodles of confidence who is rocking Telugu cinema. She was one of the models in the Fair and Lovely ad to be asked by director Rakesh Roshan if she would work in his film.

The Goa girl burst on Telugu 70mm this year first with the hit film Devadas and then playing the lead opposite Mahesh Babu in Pokiri.

The film went on to become the biggest hit of 2006. “It was a good film but I didn’t know it would be so big. Mahesh and me looked very good together,” said Ileana.Ileana says it is her look that has caught eyeballs so far.But the 20-year-old wants to avoid an image trap. That’s why she refused to play the ‘Pokiri’ girl once again in the Tamil remake.

“I am really comfortable with Telugu right now. Telugu has 2 or 3 films releasing every week. There are so many stories here. The stars are god-worshipped. The actors are more prominent,” said the actress. With two big films Rakhi and Khatarnak lined up for release this month, the long-legged actress is walking tall.
