Mani Ratnam’s Guru will premiere at the prestigious Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre in Toronto, Canada, on January 11 with the entire cast and crew of the film. Roger Nair Productions has acquired the Canadian rights from Bobby Bedi’s company Kaleidoscope Entertainment. Incidentally The Lord of The Rings among many other films also premiered in the same theatre.
This has been a landmark deal between Canada and India making Canada an official territory of Bollywood films.
The film opens in theatres Canadawide Cineplex, AMC and Empire on January 12.
