For quite a while the Bollywood buzz about Ajay Devgan turning director has been very strong. Finally, Devgan is ready to take the plunge with his first venture as a director in April with a sentimental love story titled Main Tum Aur Hum. His co-star in Ajay’s home production will be none other than his wife Kajol.
Ajay and Kajol have done a large number of films together including the successful home-production Pyar To Hona Hi Tha and the fiasco Raju Chacha. Main Tum Aur Hum will be based on a story written by Ajay Devgan.
Ajay has roped in cinematographer Aseem Prakash Bajaj (who shot Ajay in Zameen and Golmaal) for his directorial debut. According to Aseem, the plot will move every romantic to tears. ” I was moved to tears when Ajay narrated the story to me. The story is unique and it will touch everyone’s heart. It talks about love, commitment, janmon ka rishta, the institution of marriage and the whole gamut of man-woman relationships.”
Ajay and Kajol have already started preparing for their roles. According to reliable sources, Ajay Devgan hopes to revive his production house in a big way with a film that showcases his direction and acting talents with his wife.
