Struggling actress Janhavi Kapoor was arrested from her residence in suburban Andheri for allegedly attempting suicide outside the Bachchan’s residence on Friday morning, police said.
“We have arrested Kapoor from her residence in the jurisdiction of Oshiwara police station and will be producing her before the magistrate in the Andheri court,” Deputy Commissioner of Police V K Choube said.
Kapoor created a furore outside the Bachchan bungalow ‘Prateeksha’ in suburban Juhu early this morning by slashing her wrist, claiming that she was married to Abhishek.
She alleged that Abhishek, whom she met during the shoot of a film, had also promised to marry her, the officer said.
“She is a drug addict and had also taken some sleeping pills at the time of the incident and we find her to be mentally disturbed,” he said.
